Decades of Dedication

Committed to Service and Legacy

IAFF Local 2889 was chartered in 1987 to represent the dedicated firefighters of Westminster. Since then, we've stood for unity, safety, and professional service to our community.

In 2017, we secured our first collective bargaining agreement—giving members a stronger voice on the job.

As part of CPFF, we help shape fire service policies across Colorado.

We support local causes, educate the public, and serve with compassion beyond emergencies.

Community in Action

Giving Back to Those Who Lift Us Up

Service is at the core of everything we do, and that extends beyond the fireline. IAFF Local 2889 proudly supports charitable organizations that provide critical resources for first responders and their families, promote mental health and wellness, and strengthen our communities.

Through these partnerships, we’re able to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who continually support and uplift us.
